Schedule of our QTM Main Event at FIT

Location and Admittance

Quilters Take Manhattan’s Main Event is at FIT is in the Chelsea section of NYC (Great Hall entrance 7th Avenue and 28th Street) Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 am to 5 pm. Please remember to bring a copy of your ticket confirmation email with you. We will collect these at the door and scan them later that day – this makes registration go quickly for everyone. Those without ticket confirmations will need to wait to be checked in by hand (not as much fun as shopping!). You do not need to bring your ticket to add-on events – there will be a master check in list at each one.

 

Special note about location of Sunday with Sponsors event location

Sunday, September 25, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: Fashion Institute of Technology, Pomerantz Center, Room D211.
Entrance is at the corner of 27th and 7th Avenue.  Security will direct you to an elevator to take you to the second floor and room D211.

Refer a Friend for Free Raffle Tickets!

Anyone who refers a friend who purchases a ticket for an Add-on Event will receive $10 worth of raffle tickets (and so will the person they refer). Just have your friend add your name in the “How did you find out about Quilters Take Manhattan?” field when registering. Collect your free raffle tickets at any raffle ticket table at FIT during our event.

Resources for your Big Apple weekend

We’re wishing you a wonderful time and offer some resources to help you move around the city, restaurants in the area and even where to go should you feel ill or suffer an injury. Be a savvy traveler and remember to bring your ID and health insurance card with you (just in case :)) and, of course, have a fabulous time at Quilters Take Manhattan!

We want the world to know how much fun we’re having at Quilters Take Manhattan! So, we’re asking for your photos and short videos from the event for use in social media, video trailers, the Quilt Alliance website, and spreading the word about QTM in the coming years. Guidelines and how to upload are covered in this downloadable handout. Post your photos on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with #QTM2016, our official hashtag, or tag @quiltalliance. After the event, if you would like to share your photos with us, you can upload them to www.bit.do/QTMpics. Click on Choose Files to select the files you want to upload.

This year, we have some gorgeous items donated by our sponsors for our raffle and silent auction. Here’s a schedule of the drawings and auction endings, so you’ll be prepared to strategize your wins!
1:00 Winner of raffle item #1 is drawn and announced
1:50: Winner of raffle items #2 & #3 are drawn and announced
3:00 Silent Auction Round One closes and bidders can check in at the auction tables to see if they won.
3:30: Winner of raffle items #4 & #5 are drawn and announced
4:15: Winner of raffle item #6 is drawn and announced
4:30: Silent Auction Round Two closes and bidders can check in at the auction tables to see if they won.
4:30: All door prizes will be drawn and announced.

There will be two raffle ticket sales tables in the Great Hall.
Raffle ticket prices are:
1 ticket–$1
6 tickets–$5
12 tickets–$10
25 tickets–$20

Silent auction winners will be handed an invoice to take to the cashier tables at the entrance to the Great Hall. Once you’ve paid, return to the silent auction table with your receipt to pick up your items.

Door prize tickets (2 per attendee) can be found in your goody bag–clipped to the paper items. Be sure to have them ready at 4:30, when the drawing for door prizes takes place. Good luck!
