The Quilt Alliance brings together a vital, active network of individuals and organizations nationwide including, but not limited to quiltmakers, guilds, historians, folklorists, archivists, corporations, quilt shops, museums, collectors, universities, and families. This network includes you. As an alliance, we seek to celebrate and preserve our shared quilt heritage and inspire today’s quilters. Membership dues and contributions make up over 60% of our frugal operating budget and enable our mission unlike any other single source of support.

“Hi 5,” is the title of a quilt made by the late artist Yvonne Porcella for the 2011 Quilt Alliance contest & auction. Yvonne passed away on February 12, 2016, leaving behind a powerful artistic, professional and personal legacy. Her voice and spirit are sorely missed by all who knew her. Watch the video below to hear Yvonne reading her artist’s statement for “Hi 5.”

Please consider giving the Quilt Alliance a Hi 5 donation this month in Yvonne’s honor. Hi 5 (and tag) your friends, and invite them to be a part of this short fundraiser too. It takes a village of love to keep our voices documented, preserved and shared!

We gratefully accept contributions in any amount and understand that you have many options and requests for charitable giving. All donations are tax deductible and we’ll send a thank you letter and receipt as soon as we’ve received your contribution.

Do you share the vision of the Quilt Alliance? If you’re ready to ensure that this nation’s quilt heritage is documented, preserved, and widely shared, donate below!
